Wow complaining about something that is optional to the fullest degree is pointless.
Even more so when it is once a year.
I don't see what the big fuss is about.
People do the exact same thing IRL: dress up the house and go trick or treating/partying.

First I stand waiting in Kamadan, got the free stuff, got the hat. Went straight to Lion's Arch, did the same thing. It was fun, but nothing that special.
I guess we got into the "something is better than nothing" phase until GW2...
Halloween was an ok event.

My response was... 'Are they going to NERF the drunkard title?'
But seriously the Halloween festival is probably my favorite. I don't have to worry about doing a quest or picking one special portion of the festival over another. I can enjoy the scenery and hook-up with the Mad King every couple of hours and farm my butt off trying to get Booze and Sweets.

This was my first time witnessing Halloween in-game, and I'm pleased with how it was set up. Took a short amount of time, it was fun and unusual, I got something out of it, etc. Frankly I want to spend as little time as possible alone at the computer on Halloween and more interacting with the real world ;) Don't depend on in-game festivals and events when they're bound to be more rewarding out of game!

Judging from the trolls, flames, and serious replies, yes.
